São Pedro de Alcântara Viewpoint
The São Pedro de Alcântara Viewpoint has one of the most beautiful views of the city. Here, you can enjoy São Jorge Castle, the Alfama district, Downtown, and even the Tagus River – meaning you will have an authentic panoramic view of Lisbon. You can visit it all day, but it has a greater charm at sunset or at night. Stop by to enjoy the view before heading to the lively nightlife of Bairro Alto.
Nossa Senhora do Monte Viewpoint
Nossa Senhora do Monte Viewpoint is one of the most visited viewpoints and one of the highest ones in the city. Its tile panel lets you locate the main monuments in Lisbon so have fun finding them.
Portas do Sol Viewpoint
Portas do Sol Viewpoint is located in Alfama, next to São Jorge Castle. Here, you can enjoy views of the São Vicente de Fora Monastery, the National Pantheon, and Santo Estêvão Church. It is the ideal place to watch the sunrise before heading down to discover the Alfama district.
Santa Luzia Viewpoint
Santa Luzia Viewpoint offers you a privileged view of Alfama, the oldest neighborhood of the city. Take the opportunity to watch the fantastic cruises arriving to Lisbon.
Graça Viewpoint, whose official name is actually Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen Viewpoint, has a fantastic view of São Jorge Castle and the Tagus River. Have a drink on the terrace and enjoy the view.
Monte Agudo Viewpoint
Monte Agudo Viewpoint is located in the Anjos neighborhood and is ideal for watching the sunset. Since it’s not part of the tourist itineraries, it is one of the quietest viewpoints in the city.
Recolhimento Viewpoint is another hidden gem. It began as a private terrace forbidden to the public but is today a fantastic viewpoint hidden near the São Jorge Castle, in Rua do Recolhimento.
Keil do Amaral Viewpoint
Keil do Amaral Viewpoint offers you a totally different view from the other viewpoints in this list. In the middle of Monsanto Forest Park, on the auditorium hill of the same name, this viewpoint overlooks the bridge and the river.
Santa Justa Lift
Santa Justa Lift is one of the main tourist attractions in Lisbon and is, therefore, very popular. This elevator connects Baixa to Bairro Alto and has a platform on top that is one of the best places to see the city.
Amoreiras 360° Panoramic View
At 174 meters high you will find the Amoreiras 360º Panoramic View. Situated in Tower 1 of Amoreiras, it offers a panoramic view of the city of Lisbon.
To see Lisbon from the other side of the Tagus River, visit Cristo Rei. From the top of its 215 meters, observe the landscape in a 360º panoramic view.
