By plane
The nearest airport is Faro Airport, located about 20–25 minutes away by car. From the airport, you can take a taxi or TVDE (Uber/Bolt), which is usually the fastest option. By car
Quarteira has excellent road access via the A22 (Via do Infante) motorway, which runs across the Algarve. From Lisbon, the drive takes around 2.5 to 3 hours via the A2 and A22. Parking is widely available, though it can be busier near the beach in summer.
By bus
Regional buses connect Quarteira with other Algarve towns. Services are regular, especially between Faro and Quarteira, making it a practical option if you’re not renting a car. The main bus stop is centrally located.
