Oct 23, 2020

The European Best Destinations website released this month the top 15 of the Covid 19 Safest Christmas Destinations in Europe. In a year marked by the pandemic, these destinations stand out for the way they have been fighting Covid-19. Madeira leads the top with the “sunniest Christmas market” in Europe. Warmrental tells you everything!

Madeira is "the most beautiful tropical destination in Europe”. This is how the European Best Destinations describes the Portuguese archipelago, the only region in Portugal to enter the list of the safest destinations to visit in Europe this Christmas. It “is exactly what you need after these difficult times”, it reads.

Several criteria led to the selection of Madeira as the safest destination: the number of Covid-19 cases per million inhabitants, the number of hospital beds, the proximity to the airport, and the establishment of sanitary measures in public spaces, highlighting the “Clean & Safe” seal created by Turismo de Portugal together with the Covid-19 insurance and the other measures imposed by the Madeiran Government. Another perk of choosing Madeira as a holiday destination this Christmas is the fact that quarantine is not required since you will have to get tested up to 72 hours before departure.

Madeira, thus, won the podium of the safest Christmas destinations in Europe. Another recognition for this incredible region that becomes even more magical during the holiday season. From December 1st to January 10th, you can visit its Christmas markets and enter 2021 in a dream destination.
